Time Zone on the Moon?

Image
Does the Moon Need a Time Zone? NASA Astronauts on the lunar south pole  I know that we have all heard about Pacific Time and Eastern Time, but maybe one day we will hear about moon time? There are dozens of lunar adventures that are in motion for the future, and even plans to build bases and other habitats on the moon. The European Space Agency thinks the time has come for some harmony. Normally, the time in space is determined based on the time on Earth, but as more countries prepare to establish bases on and around the moon, it may be necessary to develop an international system for measuring lunar time. A universally recognized time zone for the moon will facilitate communication between space organizations and may also result in more accurate guidance and navigation on the lunar surface. However, according to European space officials, there are a few major obstacles. A singular space agency may or may not be in charge of creating and preserving "moon time," for examp

My Home Away From Home

College City and Williams Go Hand in Hand Willams Baptist University Welcome to College City!   The place that I have called my second home for three years now is College City, Arkansas. It has a population of 455 and is merged with the nearby town Walnut Ridge. Williams Baptist University , a four-year liberal arts private institution, is the heart and focal point of College City. This Christian university was founded in 1941, and currently has about 600 students.  ☆= College City   Given how important sports are to Willams, the majority of students there are athletes. This year, athletics in multiple sports have been thriving and accomplishing exciting things. Josh Austin, Williams' head coach of basketball, is currently the program's winningest coach in men's basketball history. In his 12th season as the Eagles' coach, he has a 15-9 record and now has 166 victories. Williams lost to William Woods 65-82 to cap their regular season, which saw them finish as the #4 s

Covid Can Cause Damage to Heart

How Covid Can Hurt the Heart A Medical Worker Treating Covid Patient in ICU           It was discovered that Covid can result in long-lasting heart issues. The effects of Covid on the heart have long been known, but a recent investigation focused on the alleged microscopic alterations brought on by the virus. According to preliminary study, Covid can harm the heart's cells and result in long-term issues like irregular heartbeats and heart failure. When Columbia University in New York City looked at autopsied heart tissue from Covid patients, they discovered that the infection had harmed the way the cells in the heart controlled calcium levels, a mineral that is crucial for the heart's ability to contract and circulate blood throughout the body. In another section of the investigation, mice with Covid showed the same harm. Roaches Found in Florida Hospital's Operating Room

Roaches Found in Florida Hospital’s Operating Room On December 7, 2021 a meeting of more than a dozen surgeons was held at the Hudson, Florida hospital, HCA Florida Bayonet Point due to safety concerns. Their concerns have been building up for months, and the doctors requested a meeting to address their complaints. Allegations involving unclean surgical equipment, insufficient ICU patient monitoring, a chaotic emergency room, and anesthesiology mistakes that led to patients waking up during surgery were all topics for debate. The hospital administrator promised to address these life threatening issues, but more than a year later, very little has changed.    Bayonet Point Hospital https://media-cldnry.s-nbcnews.com/image/upload/t_fit-1120w,f_auto,q_auto:best/rockcms/2023-02/230214-HCA-Florida-Bayonet-Point-Hospital-se-534p-e2b03d.jpg  The largest hospital business in the United States, HCA Healthcare Inc., which owns Bayonet Point, runs 182 hospitals and 125 surgery centers across the

Makuep in the Workplace

Image
Makeup in the Workplace  No matter where you work, you should strive to have polished, businesslike makeup every day. Whatever type of workplace you are in—corporate or creative—you should learn to adapt to it. I believe everyone should wear makeup that gives them a boost of confidence without interfering with their work. The boost you get from your work makeup is what matters most! Your work appearance shouldn't require too many items or take too much time to complete. For my three key workplace makeup tips, see below:  Read the Room Your daily makeup routine should be suitable for the environment. If you work an office job, a more natural look is probably the best way to go. Rather than wearing a really strong makeup look, you should focus on highlighting your best features. It is usually a good idea to sort of follow the crowd. If you are someone who works in a more creative setting, the look is usually going to be bolder and distinctive.  https://bpb-us-e1.wpmucdn.com/sites.p

The Highly Contagious Norovirus

Image
Norovirus in the United States  https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/norovirus-spreading-symptoms-rcna69928      Norovirus, though occasionally referred to as the stomach flu, is unrelated to the influenza virus. It appears to be at a seasonal high and contains symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. A person just needs a small number of virus particles to become ill, and they can easily spread via hands, surfaces, food, and drink. Even after feeling better, an infected individual can continue to spread the infection for up to two weeks.      At the end of the last week, the average over the previous three weeks of the number of positive norovirus tests had surpassed 15%. Since late March 2022, that value has been the highest ever recorded. The Covid-19 pandemic prevention efforts were probably successful in suppressing the norovirus outbreaks. The outbreaks have increased to pre-pandemic levels as the limitations placed during the pandemic have lessened.

Media Day at Williams!

Image
Media Day at Williams      Media Day at Williams Baptist University is a very fun and special day for athletes. Usually, the pictures are taken with your respective team a few weeks before the season starts. We get to put on our uniforms, bring props of choice, and look pretty in front of the camera. For girls, getting ready for media day is a whole process. The makeup, hair, and the uniforms need to be perfect for this exciting day. My experience from media days has always been good. It is really fun to get ready and see my friends all look their best. Taking these photos gets us so excited for the season to start, and creates an incredible team dynamic. While some are taking photos with the actual camera in front of the green screen, others will use this time to take cute and silly photos with friends. Media day is definitely a day that none of us will forget. The time spent with friends and pictures taken is the best part, and will truly last a lifetime.      This beautiful photo wa
